Polar Bear Design’s Zentium Thermostat was linked with Lutron’s keypads in key areas of the house, where HVAC and lighting control deemed beneficial, allowing for a unified control interface.

Project Overview

This luxury residence in the prestigious St. George’s Hill estate represents the pinnacle of modern home automation and environmental control. Spanning over 11,500 square feet, the client required a streamlined system to manage heating, air conditioning, and towel rails while preserving a clean, minimalist aesthetic throughout the home. The core requirement was an intuitive yet elegant interface that would integrate with existing home automation technologies without overwhelming the walls with multiple control panels.

Performance & User Benefits

The thermostats offer intelligent temperature regulation, automatically choosing between heating or cooling based on user settings – ensuring rooms are never simultaneously heated and cooled. Automation features include a global "Away" mode that adjusts all thermostats to 15°C, significantly reducing energy consumption when the home is unoccupied.
